Dogs and I

Had more time to myself after the hectic 1 week IVP season, and I found myself buying more and more books on stories about dogs. There was 1 author that I particularly liked: Jon Katz. There was a touch of humour and plently of love for his dogs, and when his dogs died, I felt like I had that loss too.Wth. Still, A Dog Year was a good book and it's worth the read. With the hype over Marley and me recently, I felt a tinge of annoyance over people who boughtthe book only after watching the movie.

On a brighter note I surfed Redspot (like finally) and liked this picture that the Redspot photographer took.
It speaks volumes. It reflects the hard work(yes we still train like hell), the very very cold ice dips, the hard games and the sheer joy in overcoming whatever shit was thrown at us,like the last minute email on jersery numbers too small must change(after 2 games already can U imagine!!), checking of nails only at the 3rd game and the shouting at us for reaching too near the sideline with a furious look.Siao. Tell us nicely la.

IVP season 2008-2009

Its been 2 days since the 08/09 IVP season ended and I'm still feeling the effects. Sore legs sore arms. But I guess it was all worth it cos I felt fit. Hahaha but the break that I took apparently showed as I gave away too many changeovers from not dumping square on,not being able to take the hard touches/dumps/jeresey and arm pulling from NYP.I am horrified and ashamed to say that I'm guilty of the jersey pulling when I saw the pictures on SportOn. And to think I complained abt it to Khai.Oh man I really should reflect.Paisay NYP.

On a brighter note the NYP game sort of shook me up. The antics employed by the technical in charge didnt make things easier and I was so happy when we pulled through the finals and sudden death to win it. Take that you grouchy old man. Deal with the issues.

Not good enought yet.

I felt really unfit and out of touch yesterday at training. The passes couldnt reach the people on the outside and my defence was not all that fantastic. I wasnt expecting myself to be fantastic or something coming back from a layoff from nearly 6 months but I have a certain standard to maintain with myself. I found myself with weak explosive power and pushoff, and I think my fitness suck big time. I am going to focus on training more liao.

Lone moment

Got started on my maths lesson plan and managed to have some lone time to myself. Swept the house and filed in some documents regarding the house. Feels nice to do it now and then.
